Hi im new here! Many years ago i had a wonderfull collie/greyhound and had many years fun with him, we used to go to lurcher shows local to where i lived then, since then ive had rotties, but now looking in the furture to back to collie/greyhound lurcher not to work it but do some obedience/agility along those lines, even a race or two!

I would like peoples opinons on the lurchers of Mr Handcock as he is the only person i know of that breeds this crossing or of anyone else that does, my main concern is temperment as i have children. And if there are any shows/clubs near me (Bristol)! I don't seem to able to find out any info. Thanks

If you go onto hunting life forum you will find out lots of information regarding Mr Hancocks' collie crosses - I think there abit like marmite. Think people also like the fact they know exactly what their getting and you will probably get a good indication of what they will turn out like.

The ones i've seen at shows are very good with regards to obedience and simulated coursing.

You will probably get more replys from this forum about the topic of obedience - There are all crosses that compete in obedience. my opinion is that the majority is down to the owner as not a praticular cross stands out, were as a good handler does

Hope this helps a little

Tom
