Collie having fits

i have a ten month old rough collie and just recently he's started having episodes that look like they could be fits. His front legs go stiff his eyes are staring and kicking back legs. He seems fine after bust a bit wobbly and confused. Is this something to worry about.

Right down the times and dates for when the 'episodes' happen.

Get him diagnosed first. It's not then end of the world if it's petit mal- our little rescue has it and it can be managed. He's 10 now!

Seizures can also be the result of HEAT STRESS or HEAT STROKE - how hot was it today, where U are?

Dogs take far-longer to cool down, once they overheat, compared to humans, & any seizure causes the body's cooling system to be interrupted, spiking their core-temp even higher. Overheating followed by a seizure can be fatal - the spiral of too hot, seize, even hotter, seize faster, is disastrous.

Seizures can be caused by many things, & are often able to be controlled by Rx meds. // U posted almost 5-hrs ago, & if he hasn't been seen by a vet already, he may have organ damage or brain damage [from either the seizure, the heat, or both together].

Any core-temp over 103' F means an urgent vet-trip, day or night. Anything 103.2 or higher can cause seizures, & the dog deteriorates quickly.
