Clumps of hair, bald patches, scabs - help!!

Hi all,

Over the past week I’ve noticed these bald patches on my British bulldogs left hand side. There’s scabs at the bottom of the hair follicles and clumps are falling out. She becomes uncomfortable if we stroke this side of her body so she is clearly in some discomfort. We are taking her to the vets however I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

She’s never had a skin condition before, we haven’t changed our detergent or anything that could potentially cause skin problems. Any insight would be of help!!

My bull lurcher had this a few years ago ...i thought he had been near foxes or badgers and caught mange but vet couldnt find anything so i bathed him in hibiscrub and cut chicken out of his raw diet and it cleared up ....
