Not many dogs for the handicap this week but there are still a few youngsters still to be trailled with other dogs before they can compete so hopefully soon the handicap will be back thriving.

True Faith (no time - the handicapper was obviously out of practise this week!!!!)

Well done Michelle & Tony's True Faith starting the season just as he left the last one, in good form.

Scout (Cool Breeze x Maralyn) 9.17 winning his 1st ever heat in only his second handicap, well done Jake and Scout!!

True Faith (Soapy Joe x Blue Monday) 8.65, this week i managed to get a time on him as well - i blame it on pregnancy hormones.

Scout 2nd True Faith, Scout really was running this week and you can see with every race that he's improving - Jake still didn't get the beers in though to celebrate did he Tim? 9.13

We ran a 25yd dash with all non peds off scratch and the peds given a 4yd lift which worked out really good.

After 4mths off due to injury tiger ( true faith ) managed to run 7 races and is now off again for at least 6 wks with a completly new injury ( he has torn a muscle in his chest - probably stopping for the lure - and now has the biggest bruise I have ever seen as it has also torn a small blood vessel )He now has 5 separate injuries - none of which has so far re-occurred - is this a record?
 
We think it might be a record but Ella said she is going to beat it anyway!!

Tonight i was welcomed back with the Gin Pit cloud over the field all night and pouring down rain.

Only 4 dogs, with two heat of two to make a two dog final.

Racing for the Cool Breeze Trophy & Alcohol (Always tempts people) :D

Open to both Non Pedigree & Pedigree Whippets, pedigree's to be given a 4 yard lift.

After much debating we changed the format to 25yd dash and the pedi's given a 2 1/2 yd lift.

A decent turn out of 13 runners considering the weather was rubbish, as it always is when we run the dash.

Dove & Maralyn withdrew leaving Pointblank the winner.

A really good night was had by everyone especially the winners ;)  and makes a nice change to be able to run with the pedigree's.
 
vicky is having a   :D overdose......as you can tell vicky and kevin had a good night :p ...hope you both did'nt get too p***ed last night  :0 .

ps....next time we have a dash it's in secret cos it always chuck's it down.

pps....any pedi's using ramps will forfit a start :p   :p   :p

only joking we all had a really good night(apart from the rain :( ) and like vicky said we had a good time racing against the peds(even if they cheated :p  :0   :p  :0 )

A bit of messing out of the traps with Foys Boy & Stormcloud left a clear run for Taylor Maid who took the race easily.

Taylor Maid tried her hardest to catch Alan Jones' bitch Tearnie but just couldn't make the 10 1/2 yard start up and Tearnie went over the line the winner easily.
