Anyone know where I can buy citronella concentrate?

Hi dawn

Do you mean Citronella essential oil? We sell it, but would you believe our supplier comes from Sheffield, a company called Ancient Wisdom in Heeley. If you give them a ring they will probably be able to tell you a local supplier. The telephone number is 0114 250 1066.

Not quite sure if its the oil, I need to dilute it to make a spray, we have heard it deters dogs from wetting in the same place

Health food store's .......Also a lot of anti insect biting sprays are made up of Citronella so they may well work  .........Eucaliptus essential oil with lemon essential oil diluted down are also ment to deter soiling

It certainly keeps the flies & midges off you in the Highlands :D

I think it is the oil you need but not sure. I know that horsey people use it (well someone with horses buys it from us).

I use Citronella oil diluted in water, I spray it on me to keep the midges off, and it works. (Take care, if I spray it onto my hair, it takes the colour out !!)

I get it from a local chemists, it only costs 89p per bottle!!

Tis a small world.........

Richard lived about 1/4 mile from this place and I lived about 1/2 mile away.

The Best Ice-Cream In The Word EVER was made just a hundred yards from this place. (WE are unanimous in this)

And the chippie a hundred yards the other way sold The Best Chips In The Word EVER (WE are unanimous in this too)

and the best football team in Sheffield play just half a mile away (WE are NOT unanimous in this)

Have you tried a company called Equine America for citronella stuff? They make a shampoo ( plus many other things ) containing citronella which is brilliant for the repellant properties, plus, I have discovered, its fantastic for bathing dogs in as it kills any 'little passengers' they might have.
