Just wondering how you usually spend Christmas with your dogs, do you always spend Christmas at home and your Family comes to you or does your family/friends welcome your fur babies with open arms.

Also, what do you usually buy for your dogs and do you wrap their presents up? Our Frenchies love tearing open the wrapping paper and we love seeing them get so excited. :D

Christmas is already such a magical time of the year but with dogs, it's even more amazing haha, are you already counting down the days or dreading that time of year again ;)

We stay at home with my dog's. My boys love Christmas especially opening their presents! This will be Rolos first Christmas so it will be great watching him . I spoil mine love buying new things for them they even have a stocking that I fill for them! :)

We stay at home too and have family over, first Christmas! even more exciting. I think we enjoy watching them tear open presents more than tearing open our own :D

We stay at home with Roxy for Christmas, I can't believe it's nearly here!
She loves tearing open her presents so wrapping them is a must, she's particularly eager to open the edible ones that smell good! Hehe.
Dogs should be treated no different to the rest of the family, presents, treats and a terrible Christmas jumper! :D

We stay at home..we no longer buy adults gifts at xmas instead we work out how much we used to spend and divide it between battersea , redwings and the donkey sanctuary and celia cross. ...
Our dogs have a natural treat wrapped up ...

A wonderful and very thoughtful thing to do!

The noses never lie! totally agree and a terrible Christmas jumper is an absolute must! haha :D:p

We stay at home - my son who has left home will come over for presents and lunch, and then he and his GF will come over together for Boxing Day lunch. My mum comes here alternate years.

I don't tend to get Jasper anything - he's not that interested in toys, and he'll get plenty of Xmas lunch leftovers. But he does sometimes get excited and rip up wrapping paper, which is great fun!

We do have to be careful with any edible gifts because if he gets hold of them there's no getting them back, and I don't want to spend Xmas afternoon down the vet's with him after he's eaten a whole chocolate Santa...

I think it's a shame if people don't like Xmas. If you don't enjoy aspects of it, just do it differently. On the years my mum's not here we have had pizza or Mexican for lunch as my sons prefer it and the less time I spend cooking the better - I want to enjoy the day, not slave away.

Love the sentiment of this, absolutely do it the way that makes you happy if doing the norm is not your thing! Especially if Jasper is getting all his favourite things and let's be honest the way to a dogs heart is with food! haha Hope you have a wonderful time when it's here!

Love Christmas! But mainly the build up. We get a real Christmas tree every year and it makes our lounge so cosy.

Dennis gets so excited for opening presents and gets a stocking. I wouldn’t go somewhere without him at Christmas.

Just another day to me and the dogs,we don't do Christmas at all. But what we have found is that Dales or Lakes are void of visitors. Total bliss having the hills to ones self.

Running free with your favourite walking place all to yourself! definitely sounds like bliss

Nice! definitely, we don't go anywhere at all without the dogs if they can't come we don't go :D

Dudley only gets presents from other people. We go to my daughters on Christmas morning with Dudley. Spend the rest of the day at home and then have a big Boxing Day party. Wemt a bit pear shaped last year ended up in hospital 28th Dec. Emergency open heart surgery on 2nd January, which just happened to,be my birthday.
This year daughter and three of the children are going away for Christmas. Eldest grandson and girlfriend are coming to us

We like to disappear at Christmas :D we’ve booked a beautiful very dog friendly barn near Bude for Christmas week, just hoping we don’t have a white Christmas...well not until we get there anyway...would love to be stranded in Cornwall,

Sounds beautiful! really love Cornwall, we visited St Ives a while back for the first time. It was honestly like being abroad. Beautiful part of the country!

As OH and I are the only humans in the house Murphy and Basil (the parrot ) are our family... Basil isnt keen on road trips but weather permitting we will take Murphy out on Christmas morning for a nice adventure (we pack breakfast).
At home there are gifts for Basil and Murphy of course. We still give each other little gifts, this year OH is getting a Tshirt with Murphys photo on it but Im still trying to think of a witty text (tips welcome).
On boxing day my neighbours and my daughter and SIL might pop round.

We like to give at Christmas too, years ago we had an open house on boxing day for those who had no family or who were not welcome for whatever reason. Sometimes we had over 20 people here. Nowadays we make a good donation to our local food bank the salvation army and we give a few gifts to people we know of who have very little. I always think its nice if they get to open something even if its just gloves or a scarf.
Times change, tradtions change too but the idea of of sharing a little warmth and happiness is one we try to embrace every year.

Nice Christmas morning breakfast out in the open! love the idea of that. Will try to think of something witty :D

Very generous and again a wonderful example of what people do for others that are not so fortunate!

Christmas always spent with Roxy and Spike, they have Christmas jumpers and reindeer antlers that stay on all of 2 minutes lol they have presents as well, mainly their favourite bones wrapped up and a soft toy that gets demolished. We are getting a real tree this year for the first time so that will be interesting. I foresee lots of shouts of dont wee up the tree and that will be to Roxy, she has been known to walk backwards up a tree trunk and wee almost at a handstand. Ummm thinking of this maybe we should rethink the real tree.
