My father-in-law is a volunteer at Paignton Zoo. We did go once or twice years ago - trouble is every time we visit now we have the dogs with us which makes it a bit difficult.

Thanks for all your lovely comments! Must say I am pleased with this set but it does help to have a decent camera and lens - couldn't have taken these with my little compact.

And Julie, I agree that whippets and meerkats seem to have something in common - I always think Jonah looks like one, especially when he's on his lead and he spots a cat and strains at the lead balancing on his two back legs! :lol:

I love the one of the otter standing up on the rock. I've not been to Chester zoo in years, it looks a great place. Must try to get over there one day, thanks for sharing the pics
