CEILI
Ceili is a 4 year old greyhound lady. Ceili has the most beautiful, unusual coat that is kind of a mix of both fawn and blue. It is quite minky looking and is very soft to the touch.
Ceili is a friendly girl who enjoys being out and seeing the world. She enjoys the company of people and will gladly take all the affection you give. Ceili is also very good and relaxed with all the other greyhounds she has met, though has not seen a lot of other breeds of dog, so care will be needed when introducing her to other dogs for the first time. She is not cat friendly.
Ceili has sadly not been outside of a kennel environment yet, so a settling in period will be needed when she first goes to her new home. She travels well in the car and has an enjoyable, calm demeanor.
Pretty Ceili is currently in kennels in Norfolk, UK. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This loving, gentle girl has loads of potential and will make a beautiful companion for the right person.

Ceili has settled nicely in to the new kennels in Norfolk, and is sharing hers with our Jamie. Ceili is a lovely, sweet girl with a striking coat and we feel she will make a fantastic companion for the right people. Hopefully she wont be waiting to much longer for her forever home.
**UPDATE 07/2010**
Ceili is now in a foster home in Norfolk, UK where she is learning all about the home life and discovering the joys of sofa roaching! She is settling very well and is a joy to have around.
Ceili is a gorgeous little girl, very affectionate and friendly with everyone she meets. She is relaxed in the house and has a very soft, gentle nature. She adores her cuddles and soaks up all the attention given to her. Ceili is now learning how to play with toys for the first time and is like a brand new puppy. She loves playing with them but really enjoys when you join in and play with her.
Ceili is an all-round star. She travels well in the car, settles well at night, is clean in the house (never had an accident) and walks well on the lead. She loves getting out and about on her walks, but is also more than content to snooze the day away, and can be left alone without any troubles. Now that she is fully relaxed in her home she is spending much more time just lazing around.
Ceili has spent the first 4 years of her life in racing kennels and did not see much of the outside world. As such she is still learning that dogs can come in different sizes and she needs further socialisation in this area. She is very good with other larger, calm dogs but right now she can get excited when meeting small dogs out on walks and can lunge and bark at them if they are playing or running. She is getting much better though, and when she starts to walk with small dogs she becomes much calmer and appears to just ignore them. She is not cat friendly, though does not lunge at them when out on walks.
Ceili is sure to make a wonderful addition to a loving family and has so much love to give.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.
Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
