Topaz, our whippet plus, has had serious problems with cats. When she spots one during walks, she howled, growled, barked, walked on two feet, and pulled us like a hurricane. She didn’t respond any commands or treat, even a piece of roast chicken, neither. :( She usually does anything for a piece of roast chicken.

As many of you who watched the programme probably remember, Victoria used a honk to distract dogs who were badly behaving. We got one from a bike shop, and it's a big success! Just when she starts pulling, Honk! :clown: in my pocket, that will stop her action, and while she is distracted, I march away. She has stopped excessive reaction to cats these days. I hope she erases cat images from her 'prey' file in near future.

Excellent Scooter

Can you imagine life with her if that behaviour had continued :( , goes to show there are solutions when caring owners o:) take the time to find a method that works  Well done you.

Thank you, Bappit.

It has been a huge embarrassment to us. Unsurprisingly, people stared at us, as if she were a dangerous dog and we were a sort of criminal, in fact, she is wimpy happy soppy little dog in absence of cats, ....or squirrels ......or rabbits. :b

I got an off day, and am catching up with my doggy topics. 8)
