I have a similar situation - should never have allowed dogs on settee. One of the whippets now goes to back door and barks to go out. I get up, lurcher follows, whippet runs back to take the vacated space. The other whippet is now following the example and also barks for this devious purpose. You didn't know dogs can lie? (pun)
