Took these the other night of butterflys on flowers which we were out walking...its harder than you think capturing small things like this...

Lovely pics ... I tried to get photos of a butterfly last summer - but none came out :(

The third pic is my favourite - you can really see the delicate colours of the butterfly - it's really pretty - do you know what kind it is?

well done janis, they are fab,

i have trouble taking small things to, think a new lense is called for to get the close up shots of tiny things :- " lol
 
They are beautiful closeups, you must have a really good camera.

A macro lens is best for close up nature shots. It's really difficult getting close ups (of a close up subject) using a telephoto lens. Nice colours though... butterflies are really difficult to capture so you did well there :thumbsup:
 
ive tried to get butterflys and insects and i carnt unless im stood a mile away :p think we need a different lens :thumbsup:

mmm Nicola I have been looking at those...macro lenses, suppose Ill have to put one on the wish list... :lol: :thumbsup:
