I feel really dreadful, i was out ferreting with Vixen yesterday. When i washed her feet and checked her over when we got back she was fine.
I put her in her kennel at 11pm last night and she seemed fine then too. However when let her out to take her for her morning exercise i noticed a large bruise on her front left leg. I put some gold label witch hazel and arnica gel on it straight away and only took her for a short lead walk.
Now Vixen is not at all lame on the leg so i havn't given her any metacam or anything i've just applied the witch hazel and arnica gel 3-4 times today. I've also given her a few arnica tablets too.
Is there anything else i could put on it or do to speed up the healing process??. obviously i will be resting Vixen for a couple of days until the bruising has gone down, although there is not to be any swelling i don't want to risk any further injury.
I have no idea at all how she's done it as i didn't notice her run into anything yesterday.
your advice is appreciated
