Does anybody know how to find out about the parentage of their dogs, as my friend owns a bitch and the breeder has advertised new puppies on the web and the name of the mother of her bitch is advertised as being a different dog  (different picture and pet name  ) What would any of you do if you where in that position. Breeder can not be accused without proof as could be a mistake :- "

BeeJay is probably the best person to answer to answer the first part of your question. I have a friend who advertises on Epupz & the pedigree details of a sire that she has are wrong. She has been trying to get the details corrected for ages with no success whatsoever.

may simply be a mistaken ad , why not ask her and just say? if she is genuine she will sort it , if not you will be able to tell from the reaction? hope this is  of some help?

perhaps it is a different bitch?

or she is advertising for a friend

If you tell me the KC registered name of the bitch I can tell you who her parents are registered as with the Kennel Club as I have all the Breed Record Suppliments and have been keeping a database for the last 20 years or so. :sweating: It may be just a mistake on the breeders part.
