I fancy going but have no one to go with , Itsa long way one my own .

Any one know any where to stay nearer the show ?? Only taking Mikkee with me :wub:

thanks Jax. Actually I don't want to enter, just thought I might go along as a spectator. Both mine and my husbands family live v near Bournemouth (I gew up there) so am interested in going along.

I'm entered, but whether or not I go depends on if new baby has arrived and if someone can sit with her. It's just up the road from me so wouldn't be too long, but don't want to leave her by herself that early

I would love to have done both ,but my sister is away on her hols and I have to look after her cats , ( she does my dogs when Im away ) :cheers:

As it is I will have to do them before I go to Carolines on Sunday and do them straight away as I get home on monday

Hi Claire, look out for a Fawn Italian Greyhound over there in the Emerald Isle. :luck: I bred her and she is called Rilloby Miss Teeq and is co owned with Maureen Wade who has Hounds (PBGVs).

She wont be like any IGs you will have seen shown over there before, she will have more substance for a start. I do believe she has already been compared very rudely with a whippet. :- "

I told Maureen not to worry about it, mine get called much worse over here

Maureen writes the Irish notes for Our Dogs so if anyone has read about the IG puppy from Hell, yep I bred her :thumbsup:

I have already seen Maureens IG Bitch and she is lovely. In fact I think I saw her in the Toy Group Today too.

She certainly has more substance than any over here at the minute.

Claire, how does the green star system work? pansy has had about 4 green stars all with BOB but not really sure what that means as I believe that it depends on the amount of dogs present?

Hi Claire its okay I found a web site explaining the green star system. Well it told you about it but I am still confused a bit.

I think I was mixing it up with the CACIB which are confusing enough.

Is there a decent website where the irish results get published?

NOt Really Jan We are a bit laid back here and things are not updated quickly enough.

green star points do depend on the number of "dogs" present. You need 40 points to be a champion. In whippets 1 dog = 1 point . If there are 5 dogs and 4 bitches and the bitchs take BOB she will be awarded the 5 points the dog will also be awarded 5 points.

But in that 40 point you must have at least 4 majors ( five points +) at breed Level. If you are lucky enough to get 10 points at breed level you can split it in to 2 majors. (w00t)

However some shows give out garenteed majors so even if there is only 1 dog there you will be awarded 5 points. ( this helps the numericaly small breeds)

It can get complicated, as some of the rules are different to KC. :unsure:
