I finally managed to wrestle this out of Zoomie's paws last night to read it myself.
The story's ok - well, who IS Madonna anyway, but the illustrations are GORGEOUS!! :wub: which is why I do buy the odd kids book :- " .
The artist is a Portugese chap, Rui Paes, who lives in London and does theatre design etc. This is the first time he's illustrated a kids book and I think it's beautifully detailed.
I know it's not really the forum but anybody out there got any favourite illustrated kids books - just interested! :lol:

Yes! Yes! I used to read "Dogger" (Shirley Hughes) to my youngest and we both loved it. The detail in the pictures was amazing, you could look at them for hours and still find new things to spot.
