Hi all,

Following Blue's successful playing with his kong, we have even managed to move on to the heady heights of balls  unfortunately he's hurt his front leg so we've not had a chance to try out proper chasing and fetching yet - my hopes are high for next week though

We had a great time at Dog School last night - Blue likes to greet everyone he can(all his shyness has just vanished  ) and he even managed to do the obstacle course off the lead!! How proud was i

Our problem at the moment is leaving Blue at home when i go out...

Ten and Blue sleep in the kitchen at night - we have a little bedtime routine where they get a chewstick, blue loves thisand sleeps through the night great.

i am at home allday with the boys so they are not left alone very often - only when i go food shopping etc. Usually i'm only gone an hour - two hours max, but Blue has started to slowly dismantle the kitchen door  According to my neighbour (semi-detached), he makes a fuss when i first go out and he's always settled down when i come home.

So i've decided to call in the kong again - knowing how Blue likes food, he'll be begging me to 'bugger off out' in no time

I'm sure i've seen it mentioned somewhere on K9 - about freezing kongs?... What food can i put in them if i want to freeze them?

I currently use nature diet food - but don't know if i should freeze this?

Any ideas?.... Alternatives to kongs?...

Thanks, Emma, Ten & Blue.x

I think there's a kong website with recipes on, Emma. Try here: kong

I tried a few when we first got ours, but Josie wasn't keen on any except peanut butter so now I just smear the inside with some Sunpat Crunchy and wedge a gravy bone in the middle

I know that people pack them with tuna and yoghurt and freeze, and banana and honey (?) and scrambled egg... :D Good luck!

Mine love cream cheese in their's, especially if I mix it with marmite.

I am so glad he's doing well, he's such a stunner.

Well done for starting this thread, Emma  I'm getting new ideas now... (w00t)

Mine loves sausage fat. I freeze it from the drip tray(George Foreman) when its gone all hard.

a dirty sock stuffed inside it would please ten! :x mind you since we got Blue, he's got all grown-up and not one sock has perished! :p
