Big Basil Greyhound (ireland)

Basil is a handsome 18 month old blue brindle greyhound....and he is BIG for a greyhound, being rather solidly built and standing just under 30 inches at the top of the back. A "failed" courser, Basil did not have the mind for chase, and seems to have brought that "which way did they go, George?" nature with him. He is now living in a home environment in rural Ireland. Though he had never been around more than one other greyhound at a time until now, he has adjusted surprisingly well to the pack of rescue dogs here, and is a quiet and gently affectionate young man. Neutered, vaccinated, in great form, Basil LOVES the car, is very good on the leash, and gets along with all other dogs here.

That's where I first saw the picture of Josef the sloughi - also one of wolfhounds dogs.

Basil (at the left of the photo) with Rí Greyhound and Emma Wolfhound.....yes, he gets along quite well with other dogs - even if they have to squeeze in together!
