Now the warm weather is nearly here be careful of bee stings.
On Saturday the boys and I had the misfortune of encountering a rather annoyed swarm with horrific results, me 2 stings, pepe 18, polo 30 and leo 48!!. Polo and leo are still in for obs and on drips and pepe is wandering about still slightly stunned and wondering what happened.
like most vets the first vet we saw only looked for breathing problems and shock, but after a few consultations and seeing another vet they were taken in. Their Creatine
levels were over 4000 (normal 10-200) so they were really unhappy little boys.
The vet also should be looking at damage caused by the venom not just an allergic reaction (please refer to the american kennel club ).
Remember to carry antihistimine with you as this can initially help before you get to the vet.
hopefully they will come home tomorrow and we will know if they are o.k
