A little while ago someone posted a link (i think) to a site with some very useful advice for children, on how to behave if they're nervous of dogs.

I've tried searching for it, but not come up wi owt - can anyone remember what thread it was on?

Its not one I remember...how far back do you think??

Thats really good..I've not seen that before but its what I tought Aimee from a young age...

Was it the kennel club one - Safe and Sound?
If so this is the link

yes that's it! thankyou Zephyr

I was thinking of printing it out and putting it on our park noticeboard. Some parents round here seem to operate a poilcy of 'i'm not going to do anything about my child's behaviour - just sue if your dog bites'

cold comfort i think, when looking daily at a little face that the surgeon tried his/her best to put back together :(

I'm sick of parents standing by when kids are doing the flappy squealy thing, when they should be telling them that's the best way of attracting dogs, not shooing them away. But then, after i'd stopped being huffy at their ridiculousness, i figured maybe they don't know the best way to make dogs go away - so maybe if i put something up they could learn. o:)

both of my dogs are completely childproof - Dij has been thoroughly tested by under 5's hanging off his ears and tail (and stood there as i hurried over, with an expression of 'mum, can you pleeeeeeeeeease do something about this?')- and Audrey won't get within 3 feet of people she doesn't kow really really well.

other people's dogs in the park i wouldn't want to vouch for

What a good idea...it might make the careless parents think about their childrens behaviour

i think thats a great idea people need be aware of the best way to avoid getting injured by a dod adults too!!!
