My old dog Jake loved a puddle, river or dew pond but would only ever tolerate a nice warm bath if he really had to!

Oh what a sweet face she has!

My dogs were all happy to be amphibious in ponds and streams, but I have just realised that none of them ever had a bath. Spot-wash yes - hose-down, yes - but never bathed. All were brushed regularly, and never smelled bad except briefly after a fox-poo or similar incident.

Look at that face! Wish my 2 enjoyed baths- very enthusiastic about cold, muddy, smelly bogs but will sulk for hours if we dare to wash them
