I have 4 Whippet bitches ranging in age from 8 years to the youngest pup who is nearly four months old. I am feeding the new pup raw food based on the BARF method (minus the grains). I have the Give a Dog a Bone Book and have tried to do as much research as possible on the internet. BUT, I am feeling very nervous about "experimenting" with this young pup during her developmental stages. Is there anyone who has successfully, over time raised Whippet pups on this diet and who is prepared to offer me more definite advice especially about the quantities required, meal plans, etc. I need to put my mind at rest that I am doing the right thing. It is so much easier with commercial food to get the quantities right and as I have raised 3 healthy dogs on Royal Canine (with some added cooked chicken, veg & oils) I obviously feel more confident with this although my instincts tell me that Raw must be healthier and I have wanted to change over for a long time. The pup weighs 7kg at the moment and is a very active little girl![/size]

There's a very good internet list 'Britbarf' on Yahoo which has one of the most knowledgable list owners I've ever met and a wealth of others with good experience. I'd recommend joining that to get all the information you need
