7 m.o. Miles finally had the joy of meeting another (11 m.o.) Ridgeback puppy, who turned out to be much bigger, and a lot more in control of his body than our Baby Miles. But they had a great time anyway, even though it was brutally hot and humid, and both were a bit low on energy. A brave Rottweiler puppy joined in, but the other dogs just kept their distance (smart dogs!)
Miles is the one with bandana, and wearing a harness.
Both Ridgebacks are intact.
Of course, Miles may still be a little baby dog at 7 m.o., but - knock on wood! - so far he has had no unpleasant encounters with other males, neutered or intact, and he's encountered a lot of them during our off leash walks in the nature parks. (Except just a couple of little incidents when he got too much in the face of small dogs with his over the top puppy antics).
We hope that he has a gentler personality than our previous boy Ari had, which coupled with our "NO DOG PLAYGROUNDS" rule will help him develop into a friendly and tolerant dog as he grows up. Time will tell.
And a bonus video from yesterday - Miles seeing horses for the first time (with no undue drama)
