I agree steve I was going to go to watch even though I dont do the bends anymore but the exhaust fell off my car yesterday and it was not cheap to replace. I only hope that the straight opens are better attended or whippet racing days in Scotland are numbered.

its a shame that this open was poorly attended.

hopefully its a one off and further races in scotland will be a great sucess.

The track was in superb condition and the owner only wanted half of the gate money for the use of the track I believe.

We travelled 3 hours to support the meeting with nothing to run as our 3 bitches are only just out of season and Coral was only ever having one run to try out his problem toe.

As it happened Time ran exceptionally well and even trapped well for once! surprising us all, especially Meg.

Surely these opens deserve better support than they are getting-one off? It was a very similar picture last year.

Well Done Tormentor/Bill.

:( Thats such a shame for the scottish people the turn out. Unfortunatly all the north east dogs are injured or Im sure they would all have been there.. Dont worry about your straight opens Im sure there will be plenty of people turn up for those providing there is nothin else clashing with it. One race I know you will get a bumper turnout for is Scottish Derby lots of peoples fave race. :luck:

:D p.s well done to all the winners and think u have all got points now. :luck:

Well done to all the runners . we are only sorry we had nothing to run as lizzies pups are only 4 weeks. i know there was dogs from north east going to attend milky way , the buider, hot mouse etc but they are all injured. i only hope more people will attend i know personally i would prefer to travel to scotland than any where else as i think they have the best tracks and the best welcome in the country.

i would like to say a very well done to steve and family as usual his dogs are in good form and a special well done to TIMEwho destroyed my own dog AYE READY out the traps, the track was great the weather great the company fantastic but the turn out SAY NO MORE i would like to thank all thoughs who traveled because if it was not for your effort this meeting would have been cancelled for those who could not make it because of injury hope your dogs recover quickly ,and for those who just wont travel its a mistake because this is 1 of the best running surfaces youll find anywhere phil.

Sorry!! I was to travel over from Northern Ireland, but there being no inside hares at any of the tracks in Northern Ireland to give my dog i trial around i decided not to go, as i had been informed that Ayr uses inside rail. Well done to all those who attended.
