Hi Everyone
Unfortunately no good news for Layla at Top Dog on Friday night - she was knocked out in the first round by a Maltese, 2 votes to 1. Judges were Mrs Croad (Qld), Mrs A Watt (Vic) and Mr W Burton (NSW). Layla got her vote from Mrs Croad.
The eventual winner was a Rottweiler from the host town, Townsville, and the Runner Up was a Border Collie.
Top Puppy went to a gorgeous GSP belonging to some friends of mine.
The BEST thing of the whole weekend for me though was at the show on Saturday, Pippin beat that Puppy GSP for Best Minor Puppy in Show, under New Zealand Judge Mr G Doyle. She won her class in group under Mr M Tougas (Canada) on that day. We had Mr G Doyle for our group on Sunday and Pippin took her class in group again but this time we had Mr Tougas for General Specials and he chose Toby the GSP for his best minor in show.
Sorry, no pictures, I still don't have that digital camera. Perhaps Santa might bring me one - I'm sure I've been a very good girl.
