I've just got access to the net in Australia, just like to thank Jim Leitch for running Misty(Demolition Blue). I phoned Jim at 11 pm on sunday from ozz, and he was on his way up the track, he gave the phone to Steve Boyd who then gave me a running commentry of the vet final :cheers: WELL DONE MISTY ! You can still get the heart racing from 12000 miles away.

CONGRATULATIONS SHORT SPOT AND ALL OTHER WINNERS. :thumbsup:

I think it was her heat that i saw & she bombed it from out of no-where - really impressive, go misty !!!!

So is it windy & rainy in Oz? Just like sunny manchester!
 
:D HIYA DEMBLUE DONT WORRY U WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH THE RACE AS JIM ORDERED A VIDEO OFF ME. GOT TO SAY THEY R QUITE GOOD AS WELL IM RATHER CHUFFED WITH THEM. AS U R IN OZ U WONT MIND WAITING A BIT THEN? carole......any chance of the vids being copied on dvd? (vids broke and cant be arsed buying another when everything we've gots on dvd lol)

Same here though our video's broke (think it's had toddler treatment :D )
 
:( SORRY I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO THAT I WISH I DID BUT YES ITS FAR TOO TECHNICAL FOR ME. U NEVER KNOW SOMEBODY MIGHT KNOW HOW TO COPY A VID ONTO DVD 4 U. ;)

P.S WHERE WUD U RATHER BE THEN OZ OR AYCLIFFE? LOL :lol:
 
tricky one 8) but we did have some sun at the derby on sunday.

i think i'd rather be in australia though (but i'd really miss the dogs)

There was me Michelle with my cheque book ready to pay for your flight,(one way of course) but being as you would miss the dogs, it wont be needed ey :)
 
if tony would stay at home with the dogs AND kids i'd be off like a shot.
 
I can get DVD copies done (but don't quote me) I'm sure you can find someone nearby that does them, just ask around.
 
:blink: Check with Tony Warren first but he has a mate called DANGEROUS DAVE!!! who can possibly get them done on DVD-

Failing that-Danny with Demolition Blue has a mate who can! but you'll have to wait until he returns from Aus. :D
 
Me Ma and Sis live in Oz, and me Ma keeps saying I should go out there...I say no football, no non-ped whippet racing, why would I wanna go? She says 'cos the posties get to ride scooters...I think I'll stay in England and freeze to death at Asfordby...Thanks all the same.. :p

NB, Me Ma has a half share in a trotting horse in Melbourne, maybe that's their alternative...
 
well done Danny with the vets you deserved it especially after poor Jim got smacked in the face off the trap :b she ran really well ;)
 
Hi Demblue! if you are in Victoria you might want to come to the whippet races here. I race all my girls (all peds) but the club is open to any whippets, ped or non ped, so long as they don't weigh more than 15kgs. I can give you detatils if you are interested.

Hi everybody jim leitch here, just home from our weeks holiday in the caravan

What a great weekend of racing, I must thank Danny for giving me misty to look after while he was away, she ran brilliantly in the vets and was no problem at all (sore face is on the mend)

I heard the derby may be changed to the may weekend, thats ok by me, it will be a little warmer. :cheers: :b

How did you enjoy the area Jim-Kendal/Sedburgh?

Nice shops in Kendal eh? Shoe factory etc..

Plenty of shops in Kendel, the area is lovely and plenty of walks for the dogs

The river kent has plenty of fish , (a few less know) we will go back the next time we have a chance
