After the aweful events in my street in May.... my window is finally being replaced as I type by my joiner... weve been boarded up for 7 weeks now.

Let there be light again.... :)

Yes we are one of the last houses at this side of the street, (Insurance problems ...but we wont go int that :rant: ) The estate agents featured in the second link Ive put on has to have a whole shop front it was so badly damamged.

And houses on the other side of the street need new rooves too.

They have had several Kris :rant:

dont use Barclays Home Insurers... they have lost us from their new computer system in 2005 .... :rant: :rant:

Its the people further down the street I felt sorry for though Gillian....every window out and just got sorted at the weekend for them. :(

That must have been so depressing for them. :( Does that mean they had no natural light at all for those 7 weeks? Some rooms in our house are really dark but at least they have daylight! I can't imagine being without a glimpse of the outside for all that time.

I bet that's such a relief, you must feel like you can put it behind you now. I keep thinking how lucky you were to have those blinds, they must have stopped a lot of the glass ending up inside. :eek:
