This morning at 1am my little grand daughter was born... long wait as she was 2 weeks over due ~...Anyway here at last weighing in at 7lb 2oz. To say im over the moon is an understatement. It'll be lovely to have a little girl around the home as im a mother to 3 lads....

Congratulations on the birth of your grandaughter and hope mum and baby are well. I have a grandaughter and it is lovely although it will change many of the words used in your house, our dogs are "ippets," we have an "elbow and a kneebow", and when we are poorly we go to "hopical".

My mum has this little fridge magnet that I gave her which says:

"If I'd had known that Grandchildren were this much fun - I'd have had them first!!!"

Both my sister and I have all had boys - my mums hoping that one of us will give her a girl to coo over at some point!
