I better introduce myself :b My name is Claire & I run a greyhound rescue less than a mile away from the track at Asfordby Sports Ground.
For the last two years we have held an all breeds dog show to raise funds for the greyhounds (and lurchers) that we rehabilitate and rehome. We have already outgrown our site and this year intend to hold it at the Grounds in Asfordby.
I know a lot of our supporters would love the opportunity to race their retired greyhounds, as a bit of fun, and wondered if anyone could tell me who I need to speak to to see if it's possible to use the whippet racing track (obviously our dogs won't fit in your traps!).
We hope to hold the dog show on the 19th September - we would love to see some whippetty folk, if you'd like to come. I'll post proper details when everything is sorted.
