I have read somewhere that essential oils are dangerous to our doggos.

What essential oils are harmful and what not?

I am a qualified Aromatherapist, and used to lecture on it, though I don't work in that arena any more.

All essential oils are dangerous if misused. They are strong medicines.

The only times I use essential oils on my dogs are to treat/disinfect injuries, for which either lavender or tea tree can be used. Tea tree is 12 times stronger than pure carbolic, so 1 drop to a big bowl of warm water is enough. Lavender is more forgiving, but again 2 drops is more than sufficient. Never ever use neat.

Dogs have such an incredible sense of small that it is arguable using a lot of essential oils is very unpleasant for them.

Thank you for this! I was thinking of getting some because of my allergies but good thing I posted here first!

Wise person. They are definitely unsuitable for people with allergies.
