i have a message from Jane with the "DEADLY" dogs following Deadly Serious getting hurt at the pick up yesterday
when picking dogs up from the lure at the end of a race....PLEASE PLEASE do not pick your dog off the ground with the lure in its mouth when others are trying to catch their dogs, stand on the lure so they dont run off with it and wait until the others have been taken away if you need to then pick you dog up to release the lure no one will get hurt.
yesterday after deadly serious won his race a fellow racer picked their dog off the ground with the lure, deadly serious then jumped up at the lure and the dog and landed badly on his shoulder
by picking dogs up with the lure in their mouth not only can the other dogs get hurt but so can the dog being held off the ground and owner
i know we have many new people in racing and it's great to see, but the saftey off ALL our dogs is priorty.
i wish dillon (deadly serious) a speedy recovery and hope he is moving alittle easier in a day or two :luck:
