Will the SSPCA not go out and collect it? If no-ones called them, I will if it'll help. :)

I've rung the Stirling police and they will not go and collect it unless someone has secured it first!!! So if anyone can get the dog the police will come and collect it but not otherwise. The dog warden isn't available until tomorrow, their number is 0845 2777000. I've already rung but the council told me to ring the police instead. I live over 100 miles away so can't practically do anything other than make phonecalls/cross post. If nobody minds, I'll cross post this to a couple of other dogsites to see if anyone can help.

According to the whippet forum, this situation has now been resolved. The dog ( a lurcher) was picked up and is back with its owner.
