Three Qualifiers have already taken place for Ireland's new International Lurcher Championships the Redmills Master McGrath Challenge to find the fastest lurcher in Ireland or the UK- the final taking place at the Irish Game Fair,Shanes Castle 25th June 2011 and the Redmills Five Nations International Lurcher Championship final heat and Grand Final at the Irish Game & Country Fair at Birr Castle on the 28th August 2011.
Qualifiers from the Rockview Show, The Ballywalter Game & Country Living Fair and Dessie Mackin's Show are already in place for what is turning out to be one of the best contested lutcher events in Ireland.
This weekend the Mourne Show ( near Kilkeel) and the Neilston Show in Scotland are the latest shows for enthusiasts to gain qualification.
Due to requests from the south of Ireland for at least one more qualifying show we have awarded qualifiers to the
Clondulane Country Fair Sat June 11th 2011. We can take one more ROI qualifier so any shows taking place before the 25th June can apply.
The Shanes Castle Fair will also host the REAL all Ireland Championship for terriers and Lurchers The 24th Annual All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Championships ( Racing Saturday - normal racing as well as the Master Mc Grath final) and Show Sunday.
