My eldest bitch Willow has had a spot on here shoulder blade for atleast 2-3 months. As the size of the spot increased i took her too the vets to be informed known the wiser.

It is pretty much like a 'whitehead spot' - I have been keeping it nice and clean and squezzing all the puss out often. (This does not seem to cause any pain when applying lots of pressure)

Over the last couple of weeks there have been 2 more spots appear..

Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

I know this abit of a borring post for most - so here a few of what people like seeing. Here are some pups that my mum has been looking after for friend. They are 4 weeks in the picture and 'MAO' off the site has the sire to the pups :D

The owner of the litter had homes for 7 bitches before they were born - plus they were keeping one bitch. When the 6 pups arrived, 5 dogs & 1 bitch

I had a GSD who used to get something similar to that, Tom.

The spots would keep coming back and in the end I applied a whole load more pressure, much deeper under the skin, and what seemed like a "root" came out and after that it closed up and healed. I never did know what caused them but someone once suggested that they may have been old tick bites  - I kept her frontlined and never saw any ticks on her tho'

If you do squeeze them harder :x , make sure you put iodine or something equally anti-bacterial in the lesion to prevent infection

They sound like sebacious cysts, my beddy had one on his back, it was there for almost 12 months before it burst one day :x

It didn't bother him at all & the vet wasn't worried about it either . He has had a few of these & they do eventually burst. When they do I give them a really good squeeze to get all the gunk out, then I bathe them in salt water for a few days & make sure no more pus has built up. When I'm sure it's fully drained then I'll let it heal up, usually only takes a day or so. Tea tree lotion is great for keeping the infection away too :))

One of mine, the 3rd from left in photo, had a tick on his head. When it was removed a similar spot came up. I did the same

gave it a good squeeze and got root out. Gave it a good clean with TCP and after a few weeks with a bald spot hair grew back. Good luck. Happy zit squeezing. !!
