Does anyone use this for flea control? It seems our vets are moving over to using this because of the lung worm protection which it offers as well. Haven't been for Jonah's booster yet so just thought I'd research it before going. Does seem to have a few side effects but then I suppose Frontline has too!

I don't Gillian, I have a pack in the cupboard in case of ticks but I have never needed to use it.

I use "Sentinel Spectrum", it treats against Fleas, Heartworm, Intestinal worms and is a once a month chewable tab. It may also give some protection against ticks but they don't claim this.

Never get a Flea :0)

advantage isnt waterproof so it washes off wheareas frontline doesnt but it hasnt been working very well this year, it isnt prescription only anymore so it may be weaker, i use frontline when necessary and buy a wormer that covers lungworm

When I got Lotti she was coverd in Flees and the my hole lot got them. It was really bad. Even I was was coverd in bites :x

I used front line once on the two cats and two Dogs. But when I foned the vets to get more she told me that I can make a 3 appointment to c the vet and they give Adventex (I think it was) becos (in her words) front line is good but this is alot better and stronger for serveerer(sp?) infestations. Im ust admit though I havent made that appointment I did just use another lot of FL and they seem to have gone now. :))

Hi, I use this regularly- lungworm is fairly common in Cornwall, we have no fleas and no side effects either :)

If your vet will do a prescription for you ( my vet does them for free, but most charge) you can buy it cheaper online form Petmeds :)
