A Week Of Snow....

What a wonderful surprise to wake up to snow last Monday. I'd booked a few extra days off work, so felt guiltily smug when I saw the weather. Needless to say, I've been out walking most days, but what a shame the cold snap is drawing to a close.

Here are some photos from my walks out and about (no Fred in these I'm afraid...he didn't come out on our longer walks).

The first day of snow on Mam Tor....not deep, but lovely to walk in and admire the views:

Funnily enough most of our walks seem to end near a pub :- , and of course a mulled wine is just the ticket in this cold weather :teehee:

Finally, I often pass this 'beware of the dog' sign. I remembered to take a picture of it today. It's great isn't it :lol:

Lovely Mam Tor pics Nicola. Very pretty. The snow was great wasn't it? What I call real snow, not the horrible wet kind. That's 2 lots we've had this winter now, wonder if we'll get any more. I wouldn't mind a walk on Mam Tor with you and the dogs one Friday :thumbsup: I like the sillhouette of Mick & Stan too and I've never seen a dog sign like that before. A mulled wine is just the thing for the freezing weather we've been having!

They were rather repetitious at first weren't they...

Re the pollution, I guess most cities are the same....it is rather disconcerting isn't it...especially as I have to goto work there in the week. (w00t)
