I've added a poll of the things we CAN change, unfortunately due to the state of the ground underneath we can't really change much about the track, we can roll to our hearts content & it wont make it like a bowling green.

Last year we got asked about having rubber bottoms in the traps - these will be near the traps this years if anyone feels the need to use them!

You don't need one lady !!! thats the smiley with the biggest mouth i can find :D

Oh dear  looks like you gota make do michelle...... (w00t)but i will give you my vote

I hope its not same day as the Scotland event this year and holidaytime for quite a number of folk very sad last year to have missed it .

we had consolation scratch last year so i depending on entries i think it'll be the same again this year.

im not entirely sure when scotland is,but i think its the week after gin pit open.

:p Yes it would be a shame if it was the same day as Scotland. As that is what happened last year.

we were also holidaying in scotland when this open was on but heard nothing but good reports about it will atend this year, all being well...

:p Yes sounds like a good venue, we too hope it isn't when the scotish derby is on.... :p

:)) :(

i really feel that the puppy should run in 4 weight groups as up25 and up to 35 is a lot for puppies as you can get a 8mth against 12mth and this makes a big differance when they are so young the big pups at the back pull there little hearts out

debbie :))

It actually worked out well last year debbie - with it being 1/2yd - lb, the supreme puppy winner was Refuse to Bend at 27lb, if you look at the results from last year you'll see the finals were split nicely between light & heavyweights (varying from Branca to Southern Scott), much fairer than the usual yd/lb in the committee's view!!

A & T Results

sorry vicky i didnt realise the pups were 1/2 yd per pound also :)

debbie

I wish that we could go but the open is on at a rotten time for us with the Scottish fortnight. We have the Scottish AGM on Sunday so we will find out when the Scottish Champ's and open's are. I do think the Scottish Derby will be the same as last year on the 24th & 25th July. Wish you all the best with the open Vicky and I don't think you could do much more to improve on last year's open.

btw sue - scales gone first class today!!

I cant believe someone has asked for better trophys, the prices given out last year at this open were the best i have seen since comming back into the sport. What handicap changes would the 27% like to see not another yd lb open please. The track is bumpy but last year the finnishing area was soft and caused no injuries to the dogs feet. A great open all round in my opinion. :D :p

I like the idea of an option being better sign posts lol I would need signs from my house right up to the track ... is this possible  :b

Errrr could be a possibility Fleesh, if you supply the weekends booze for me & michelle (it's us who'll be putting out the signs)!!! Bearing in mind we couldn't drink last year, so have a lot of making up to do!!

We will need direction's from Scotland as we will be there if Robbie fit and well :D .

See you's there then :p
