WELL DONE.. can't praise the rescue people enough. nice to have a happy ending though......well done again...

:D It so great when theres a happy ending   :D

    "Brilliant News"

It is so good to have a happy ending, when your dog goes missing it must rip you apart not knowing what has happened to it.

Yep it's nice to have a happy ending.  This one was particularly nice as one of the workers at Tia rescue is also a main stay of Lurcher Search UK.  So she got the double joy of reuniting the bitch with her owner AND not having to find a new home for yet another stray lurcher.

Tia rescue in South Yorkshire have had a terrible time lately.  A month or so back someone broken into their kennels and let the dogs out.  The dogs got wound up and with all the excitment and rushing around fights broke out and a dog was killed.   :(  There were bloody footprints found on the floor so it seems that the culprit stayed around to watch and maybe enjoy the carnage that they had caused.

Then more recently one of their lurchers was stolen from their other kennels.  This greyhound x dog is very distinctive coloured ie marked like a rottie but blue and tan instead of black and tan.  This dog has a digestive disorder and needs a special diet.  He still hasn't been found.

:(

Rescuing lurchers and greyhounds is hard enough without this sort of thing happening.

 I am so sorry to hear of the terrible things certain humans do, it makes you wonder how they were brought up,I dont think the rescue people get enough praise for all the hard work they do, any thing we can do to help, we will ,you only have to ask,  hope the dog is found soon...... ???

You'll be glad to know that Dougie is back at the rescue.  Scarred physically but hopefully this won't prevent him being rehomed.
