I KEEP READING ABOUT DRUG TESTS AND CHEATING BUT AWHILE AGO I READ ON THIS SITE THAT SOMEONES DOG/S HAD BEEN NOBLED WITH PEANUTS. SO WHATS STOPPING SOMEONE FROM DOING THE SAME WITH CHOCOLATE TO REMOVE A RIVAL PERMENANTLY.

Its not hard fore anybody to gave chocolate etc to another persons dog ..while away at weekend events dogs are left in awnings and tents

There is always the possiblility that someone could effectively cheat by giving someone elses dog a substance capable of getting it banned by means of a drug test. However I prefer to be the optimist on this and say that the majority of racers would concentrate most on improving their dogs fitness in an attempt to compete with the other dogs on an even parr. I refuse to believe that there are people out there cruel enough to actually do such a thing as to deliberately impede someone elses dog who has most probably got to it's position through hard work and perseverence.

But there's always that little twisted possibility ...

u must be really reallly sad to want to dope sombody elses dog?? whippet racing is a fun sport isnt it?? it used to b but not no more? people must have to really hate sumody if theywant someone out of the SPORT what is whippet racing gunna b like in 15 years time. ( i dont think itll last that long)

I thought it was fun too...Get a whippet, have fun with like-minded people etc...Sadly I've found a lot of back stabbing and poor sportsmanship...they should all play for Arsenal

having said that, happily the poor one's are outnumbered, but the ill-feeling still shouldn't be there....

i think your spot on ,after racing a long time now i think its worse than ever, too much backstabing and moaning, but its true the good outweigh the bad,there is only us lott, the members that can make it better .

Cheers Mutley...I've probably met you at some time...But, like I said I got a whippet as my 1st dog (my family had bassetts) and I love 'em. Most love to chase, fast or not so fast, and we as owners should encourage it...Cos before you're good winner, you have to be good loser...

There seem to be quite a few of who agree with my point of veiw which is a pity in a round about kind of way im not fully into the sport yet but hopfuly i'll get the chance to put myself and the laguna blood line to the test next year via gem (so slippy X my own working laguna bitch) who is currently showing good promise in the field.

that'll be katies alright i kept the fawn and sold the light brindle via trevor 19lb as well same as her sister though he did call her rosie my mothers name is rosie and i hate her guts for personal reasons bot that it peronal infact i found it quite funny in a odd sort of way. you will no doubt see i have put her up for sale unless a miracle happens and my leg fixes it self (torn muscel).

nearly forgot i do indeed live in staindrop where some bloke streaked on the village green last week or so i heathough the grape vine. :0
