Probably a silly question BUT what does it mean when folk say this?

Many Thanks

Jackie

When someone breeds their first litter of pups, usually all the pups names from that litter begin with an "A". the next litter their names will begin with "B" etc.

Thanks for that, sounds a very logical system!!!!

Then there are others who work on themes for each litter.

My first litter was named after songs by 'The Sweet'

The next litter were all named after Racing Greyhounds and Horses. etc.

Then there are others who have very intricate systems which make it very difficult for themselves when choosing names and even more difficult for outsiders to work out .... not mentioning any names, but my friend will know I mean her LOL! ;)

Badgers Litter were all cars Passat, Prelude , Porcher and Peugeot.

I did one litter all artists .beginning with M , easy for male names and I only needed 1 female so I called her Madonna ( well at the time she was a mega `****`artist

My last litter, because they were by Fait Accompli were all french names `Mon Amie `being Mikkee`s o:) :- "

And there are the people who don't have an affix but name their pups from their own initals. SB etc

There are people like me whos system is having no system whatsoever :p

When you are German and breed under the VDH rules (German Kennel club) you have to use "A" for your first litter, "B" for the 2nd etc.... It goes from A to Z. In France and Belgium you have one letter per year (in 2004 V in France). In Belgium you have all letters but here in France you don't have some letters, K, Q, W, X, Y, Z.

A bit complicated but that's the way it goes!!!

Easy really because you can work out what year a dog was born. Very controlled though, we like to please ourselves in England!!!!

Is that a Citroen Whippet? Diesel or petrol? :D :p

No it runs on tripe and biscuits!!!! It is not a universal make although certain editions have spread to various other countries where they seem to make quite an impact!!!

Thanks for that people, you really are a clever lot!!!
