A Few Pics Of Stan

It was quite an eventful day yesterday. The OH & I decided we'd go on a longish walk in the White Peak. We thought it would be best if Fred stayed at home and only took Stan (Fred wasn't at all happy and try to force his way through our legs out of the door...and he's usually the most obediant of chaps! :unsure: ).

On the journey we broke down in busy bank holiday Bakewell (w00t) and had to be towed to busy, bank holiday crowded Matlock. Stan's face was a picture as the car was driven up the ramps onto the breakdown truck...poor chap didn't know what was going on. Luckily the garage there fixed the problem, and an hour later we were on our way again. :sweating:

Having lost a few hours we decided to just do a short stroll along on of the trails that are so popular in the Peaks (disused railway lines). Fred would have loved it!

Anyway...here are a few pics I caught as we stopped for some tea at a picnic bench. My husband insists he's not a great dog lover....hmmmmm :- "

There were quite a few benches along the way, with the usual dedications on them. It was lovely to see some of the dedications were for owners beloved dogs too :huggles:

Stan and my hubbie have a really close bond. I don't come close in Stan's eyes. Must be the similarity between them, the beard and salt & pepper hair.... :- "

Could we see another piccie of Vinnie? I'm sure he's much smarter than Stan at the moment. I've stripped out all of Stan's coat on his body. I just need to tidy up the front half now. :- " I do it in hourly stints each week, 'cos it takes so long and poor Stan gets fed up with it. Give me whippets any day...far less work :lol:

Its quite a few years since I went to Matlock Nicola, its a lovely area.

We stayed on a dairy farm just outside Doveridge and took our then only daughter aged 3 to Alton Towers. What a lovely weekend it was.

We have been away this weekend and a couple stopped us who have 2 Mini Schnauzers and were seriously wanting to add whippets to their home, we chatted for ages about the breeds and when they first mentioned Mini Schnauzers I immediately thought of you

I must admit I love the first three as well. I'm thinking of framing them ..... Those two were a perfect match from the start with those beards
