Hi , I have an 8 week old Lhasa apso arriving in 2 weeks YAY but she is not on wonderful food at the moment . Went to pah shop yesterday and was completely overwhelmed by all the info . I just want to gradually change her to a good wholesome food - she's mostly white and I'm aware to stay grain free to hopefully cut down on the likelihood of skin problems . can anyone offer advice on feeding a small breed ? Thank you x

Well, raw is excellent. It doesn't have to be complicated or messy.

Have a look at www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk

It is an independent dog food comparison website which scores all types of commercially available foods on a scale of 0 to 5. You can set filters for your dog's weight, age etc and choose to view only the foods scoring, say, 4 and above. Then you can show them listed according to daily feeding cost so you can see what gives you best value for money.

Thank you for the reply , will look at that link . yes the raw looks interesting but I'm nervous about it . I have a comprised immune system and the risk of salmonella and the like infections are a worry . sorry if its a dumb question but can a puppy licking people , their toys and stuff transmit that kind of germ ?
