    Possessive over ball - Collie/Cocker

That is fantastic advice Judy! Thank you so much! I’m going to just not take it off him, not try and do what you’ve suggested. Thanks so much!

    Possessive over ball - Collie/Cocker

Hi! I’m looking for some tips and training tools that aren’t on YouTube (I have done it all) to re train “drop” when my almost 2 year old Sonny has a ball or now, anything. I taught him drop and he was great at it. Recently he has decided not to give his ball back to me and growls when I hold...

    Barking in Van

Hi Guys, Been a while since I posed! My almost 9 month old puppy Sonny is brilliant these days, on lead, off lead, ball obsessed, no longer stays in a crate - getting on a right beaut! I have changed my job and now am a delivery driver so Sonny goes to day care twice a week (which has done...

    Pupdate.. The barking and biting...

We do most of fetch on a long line anyway if there are dogs in the field, 30m. I don’t tie it to anything, just let it drag around. If another dog comes in the field he’ll still bolt to it, I have to tug to get his focus back. I’ll keep practicing though. Thank you

    Pupdate.. The barking and biting...

Guys, Guess what? The barking at me and nipping the legs has stopped! Doesn't do it at home or when off leash anymore.. at all. All thanks to fetch! He absolutely LOVES his ball and has become obsessed with playing fetch which is magical. I also think doggy day care has helped massively too as...

    Weeing for Attention

I’ve noticed that some people on this forum start to become quite judgemental rather than helpful. If you have nothing to add in relation to my post apart from judgement, then say nothing. He is NOT distressed in his crate in the slightest.

    Weeing for Attention

You’ve said this to me before about crate time, but it’s no longer than 3 hours a time and others I have spoken to for opinions have given me a different response. We of course do other training of commands and tricks and activities like snuffle mats and treat dispensers to get his brain...

    Weeing for Attention

Now this varies from day to day. Up at 7am - walk/lead training, sometimes crate from 930am - 12/1, walk/leadtraining/playtime for an hour. Crate from 1/2 - 4/5pm, walk/leadtrain/play from 4/5 through the evening. Bed at 11pm. Obviously feeding breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sometime if my partner...

    Weeing for Attention

We’ve spoken to a behavioural specialist and they think it’s barking for attention as he does it when he demands us to play with him. I think he has the capacity to think like that, he’s a clever little devil! Haha!

    Weeing for Attention

I didn’t know this was common. However he went for a wee outside about 5 minutes before hand which is strange for him to need to go that quickly. X

    Weeing for Attention

Hi Guys, Our 5 month old puppy hasn’t had accidents in the house for over 2 months now. We have an issue with attention barking (different story)! Anyway, when he barks for attention and bites our feet, we leave the room and shut the door until he’s calm. Then go back in and return to whatever...

    Barking off leash

I just don't know why he'd be frustrated as he will be having a jolly nice walk and then just flip out! It's so weird! Maybe he was dropped on his head as a pup! We go out with friends every Saturday and Sunday with their dogs so he gets plenty of play. We also meet other dogs on walks and he...

    Barking off leash

Ok. Thank you, I will keep him on the lead from now on and use the extendable for longer walks. Do you think I should let him off when we meet friends with their dogs? Although he barks at the other dog for a while, it takes the barking and biting away from us and it seems he has so much fun...

    Barking off leash

@JudyN @Finsky Thank you. When he’s off leash around other dogs he just does the same to them, barks in their face until they chase him and tell him to stop. Once he’s stopped he’ll push it again and do the same. It seems he likes the chase and that’s maybe why he does it to me? I will try the...

    Barking off leash

Hi. I’ve posted before about this and took into consideration what was said to try and help. I’ve avoided those open spaces as advised and Sonny loves putting his harness and lead on. We have done training on a 30 metre leash and ten metre for recall training, and he’s getting really good. Then...

    Barking and Biting on walks

Every-time it’s happened it’s been in open spaces; field, and two parks. Bang on the money there. He has not done it walking down the high street on a lead. Thanks for the post, will give it a go of waiting it out.
