I had a look at the link you put in about what your dog harness looks like. It is more or less a standard double-loop harness, which is fine for most dogs, provided (and that's important) it is done up very snugly. If your dog was in a fight, my hunch would be that he pulled sharply backwards...

A warm hello from France. I am British but have lived in France for quite a long while. In summer 2016 we got a cockapoo from a local dog refuge. He has settled in very well and is an established member of our family now!
