I was wondering, if your vets would accept some kind of affordable payment plan? Worth a shot, nothing to lose by asking and possibly everything to gain... so sorry to hear the position you are in:(
Hi and welcome from me too. I can't add any more really, puppy farming is rife and yes it is a minefield out there when looking for a pup. Other than rescue centres there are CKCS specific rescues, it might be worth a look if you're not dead set on a pup? It sounds like you could be perfect for...
A bit more ferret spam to warm the heart on this Sunday morning :)
Goose a few days ago, he's doing pretty well at the mo still and is growing his winter coat. So he's getting fluffier by the day, lovely!:D
Just going to try and post some short vids of the boys(with big thanks to @JudyN )

Yes I feel the same...though I do understand for some scattering the ashes on a favourite walk or under a tree maybe and them being free, as such, is also appropriate... I think we all have to do whatever we feel is right for us as it is such a heart breaking time and these decisions are so...
I also have kept the ashes of my two last boys, they are on a shelf with happy photos of them. I couldn't bare to scatter them anywhere as they were both like my shadow, so for me I wanted to keep them close. It makes me smile when I see them now remembering lots of love and happy times with...
Hi and welcome to the forum:)
I'm sorry I haven't any advice on vitamins or supplements but I wanted to wish you luck with your new addition. There is a section on here with info on Rom rescues but I don't know how to link it:oops:! @JoanneF or @JudyN could you help with that please? We all...
I agree with both the above, it does annoy me that vets seem to go straight for the big options, quite often still with inconclusive results.. I would ask the vet if the MRI showed up a back problem what would the treatment options be, other than surgery, which is quite often the next step they...
I'm another fan of spending time either in a training class or out with any prospective dog walker you may want to employ on your own before you decide if it may suit your pups needs. Most, if not all, of canine care is a self regulated business... the good ones will encourage your observation...
Sending hugs also...xx
We have a bit in the general lounge and discussions section called 'A Memory To The Ones We Love' if you feel like sharing or just having a look. Don't ever feel like you're alone, we are all here and we do understand and can empathise x
:DThat's brilliant, your grand daughter sounds like my kind of child!:D
And big congrats to you all re news of the new pup, I mean baby! How exciting:)
Oh blimey poor boy, bet that did give you a right scare too! If his eye sight is not as good as it was this may of contributed if your landing was dark and he'd just woken up...I know with some of my older ones, when the hearing and sight are not so great, it does seem to disorientate them a bit...
I'm afraid I can't help with training advice either, other than what @JoanneF has already suggested. Some of the dogs I walk have this issue, but other than scanning the ground as they sniff, which gets easier with practise, it is not a 100% success rate especially with leaf litter at this time...
@Sus I've only just seen your last post, I'm so sorry to hear you are having all these troubles with your vets and that you feel so worried about your ability to continue your care of Biddy. Please remember the failings are with your vets not with you... You have every right to write down all...
