Allergy: is hypoallergenic diet really worth trying?

Thanks I did not think about that. Maybe hypoallergenic shampoo and wipe could help too.

Allergy: is hypoallergenic diet really worth trying?

Thanks Judy. Would you also recommend to try the raw diet before testing environmental allergy?

Allergy: is hypoallergenic diet really worth trying?

Thanks Joanne. Would you (strongly) recommend to try the elimination diet before testing environmental allergy? As statistics tend to favor environmental allergy and because Waffle never reacted well when I tried to change his food in the past, I am tempted to directly test environmental allergy.

Allergy: is hypoallergenic diet really worth trying?

Hi everyone, I would like to tackle Waffle’s potential allergy problems (a lot of scratching and licking/biting paws) and it is not new. I gave him Apoquel for 10 days and it did work, I could see a real difference. However, after reading about potential side effects, I decided to look for...

    French EU pet passport

Thank you very much for the information JoanneF! I will try to get the passport with a French vet for this time and hopefully it will work. I also have to keep in mind to see a French vet between 1 and 5 days before the UK return to get a worming treatment.

    French EU pet passport

Hello, I am planning to travel to France with my dog and I am planning to get him a French passport over there as it is more practical and cheaper than the health certificate. I know that British nationals have been able to get a French EU pet passport in the past (after Brexit). However, it...

    Boots for dogs

    Boots for dogs

Hi, I would like to make Waffle use some boots when we go to the park, at least during the grass seed season. He just had surgery to remove one grass seed and the whole experience is very unpleasant (multiple visit to the vet, stress of surgery, weeks without running at the park). The vet told...

    Surgery: questions to ask

Thanks everyone, surgery went well. They will remove the bandage tomorrow to see how the healing is going. And it was indeed a grass seed which caused all this problem ... I was already paying attention to grass seed before but as we go to the park every day and play the ball on top of that, it...

    Surgery: questions to ask

Hello, Waffle is going to have a surgery on Monday in order to remove some potential grass seeds responsible for his paw injury. The vet explains me briefly how the day would look like: - I need to bring Waffle the morning and left him there (i cannot stay with him until they sedate him) - I...

    Droncit vs Milbemax

Hello, My former vet was recommending NextGuard Spectra monthly with Milbemax quaterly. So this is what we gave Waffle until now (he is 2.5 years old). But the new veterinary clinic told me that they would not sell NextGuard Spectra with Milbemax together as they both have the same active...

    Air Con for dogs?

Hello, The temperature in my flat is quite high these days (26/27 degrees celsius in the flat). I am considering buying a portable air con to make life easier for Waffle. And I would like to know if anyone has experienced portable air conditioner with their dogs. Any reasons i should avoid...

    First time dog owner

Hi everyone, we welcomed Waffle two years ago. Waffle is a very nice, friendly and funny cockapoo. He is doing well overall but I could use some a few tips.
