I took this picture in Central Park in NYC last weekend. A man and his elderly dog. The man's arm stretched so the dog can rest his head on it... Gentle stroking... This is love, isn't it? It was a beautiful scene. Every day is precious. This guy gets it.

Entering Ridgeback play zone is not for the faint hearted! We are lucky to have a neighbor who not only survives Baby Miles, but enjoys him.

A few highlights from the year almost gone, to show what Miles has been up to. He just turned 3, at the end of November. Lots of hiking in the mountains or nature parks... But we visit a city dog playground from time to time, believe it or not, and have made a few friends there. Hope everyone...

Miles is not a fan of hot and humid days, so we have to go to where water is, even if it means 30 min drive each way. On the water he perks up. Today the only playmate was 11 y.o. He did his best to keep up with Miles, but quickly settled in the shade for a nap, leaving Miles to entertain...

This is as good as it can get on a "walk" for Miles. Letting 3 monster dogs (well over 300 lbs / 140 kg combined ) run free in a nature park can only happen when there is no one else there. In this case - rainy late afternoon. But what's getting a little bit wet when you get to see them play...

After winter break, we went back up to the mountains today, were you can look down on flying birds, breathe fresh air, and best of all - let Miles enjoy 5 hrs off leash!

What can be better than a walk by the lake on a warm Spring morning? Maybe sleeping late :) ... But can't have everything!
