    Fur baby guilt

Hi All, We have a 7 month old pup and work full time. We both have flexible hours but I do feel guilty leaving the little one even though it is only for a couple of hours at a time. Does any one have suggested pass times or other coping strategies? I think a dog walker/sitter would help but the...

    Worming tablets

Puppy is six months now and so far we've had worming tablets from the vet which have been prescribed during visits for other things such as the vaccinations. Now we need the next supply but do not need to go to the vets for anything else. So, question is, do we go to the vets for the next 3...

    Fireworks

Do i need to go to the vet?

hello, Puppy's abdomen hurts if i pick her up this morning. i usually pick her up and she's fine, but today she yelped a little - not a scream, but a small yelp. She seems a bit lethargic too. I was thinking i'll wait until lunchtime and see how she is then make an appointment if no change. I...

    Training

Hi All, Please could I have your thoughts on training? I've done some research and there are some group sessions near me. My pup is nearly 5 months so we were told she can't do the puppy class, but instead need to do the class up from that (adolescent?). However, the times for the older class...

    Insurance

Hi All, I did a free kennel club temporary insurance when we first got our puppy and another freebie with an insurance from our vets. That's about to expire so need to pick a "permenant" insurance now. Any suggestions/thoughts? I'm a bit confused by the concept of a life time insurance. Thank you

Puppy jumps up with her front paws on the table and on the kitchen work tops. I've tried a firm "no"....a firm "down"....ignored her....shouted at her....closed her outside....closed her in another room. What's left to try? I don't want her on the surfaces as it's the only place we have left...

Hello All, We have a puppy, and I'm now thinking if we might be able to have a short holiday....even just a night away. What are your thoughts? I've seen dog friendly places, but does that mean *puppy* friendly? Would it be best just to get someone to look after her for a night, or skip the...
