He may only be 10kg but he's a solid 10kg of pure muscle so I was a little worried when this tiny 4 month old pup ran up to say hello and wanted to play with him.
Normally my little thug plays rough, lots of body slamming and full on wrestling but he was really lovely with her. He ran at a...
This will primarily be of interest to US members I think - I don't recognise most of the brands.
However since Lidl is mentioned as having an affected product I thought it was worth posting the link https://www.fda.gov/AnimalVeterinary/NewsEvents/ucm627485.htm
I'm going to have to get some new wellies for the winter. My trusty green ones from the farmers market just don't give enough foot support for the 5-8 miles a day walking I'm doing and I had problems with the nerves in my feet last spring which have gone since the weather improved enough to...
After Jasper's nasty experience it was our turn today.
Harri and I were walking along our usual cool and shady route and I was holding a Bristol gate open for him to follow me through when I spotted a husky and a husky cross heading towards us at high speed.
There was just something about them...
I was hoping that as he matured Harri would cease to need to be instant best friends with every dog in the world but it seems it is not to be.
If he spots another dog that's it - if he's off lead he bolts towards it at high speed.
If he's on lead he sits down and refuses to move if I try and...
I was visiting a friend in Clevedon so Harri took the opportunity for quick dip - he won't actually swim but he will submerse himself up to the neck!
Can you spot him?
I know it's the Daily Mail (!) but I thought this was interesting. It does read a bit like a commercial for Lily's Kitchen though

Maybe word is getting out just how poor much...
He's finally safely secured in the front seat of my car after months of trying the "proper" solutions.
I can now use my car again. So why do I feel so bad about it?
Squeaky Dog is Harri's very very very favourite toy. They have been inseparable since he joined the family 6 months ago when Harri trotted out of the shop carrying him proudly in his mouth. Sadly although he's been much more robust than many of Harri's toys his days are coming to an end. He is...
I think I just half drowned Harri! He's giving me the infamous Welshie "stink eye" and keeping well clear.
This last week the local farmers have released the cattle on to the lush spring grass which means lots of semi liquid cow pats....yuck
Harri of course has to go and stick his nose deep...
The dilemma - a new pigs ear! Where to eat it? Nowhere is quite right (again!). Every chair, every rug, every room. Nope not right. All this is accompanied by the most heart-rending cries.
He's finally settled on a spot under the garden table and is (thank goodness) happily munching...
Surely...
8 mile walk ( mostly off lead with canine companion so double that for him at least)
Bath - proper full on version with relaxing lavender extract
Zoomies
Lunch
Blow dry
More zoomies
Game of squeaky chicken
Pigs ear
He's asleep!
It never ceases to amaze me how unoblivious some dog lovers are to doggy body language!
Harri is a friendly little chap but even he doesn't much like strangers being over familiar. He hates being stroked on the head especially if the hand comes from the front - he will tolerate it from me but...
Harri had a glorious walk this afternoon with a new friend! Her legs were rather longer than his so he was playing catch up the whole time but he loved every minute.
That turkey dinner is horrid when served in a nice clean bowl in the kitchen but absolutely delicious when laboriously worked out of a pink rubber snake....
What don't you understand about your dog?
Harri has always been a little glutton but he's not eaten normally for a few days now. Food in his bowl is ignored- I've tried warming it and adding gravy. All the usual tricks.
That food that is so despised in the bowl is however delicious when stuffed in a pink B M snake. He'll worry away and...
It was a bit chilly on our walk around Llyn Craftnant yesterday so Harri got to wear his Christmas jumper for the first time. I'm not sure he approved of it as he refused to look at the camera! I don't think the awww how cute, he looks like a teddy bear comments from other walkers went down too...
