Everytime this comes on the BBC Misty always jumps up and starts barking. The first couple of times I thought it must just be a coincidence with something she can hear outside, but it doesn’t seem to be. The dog on the tv doesn’t bark or anything, but there must be something on there that she...
This is very worrying. As if the heat wasn’t enough to contend with, now you need to be really careful about going in the water :(. It must be spreading across the country as it was on the front page of a local paper that one of our lakes has it.
Shock dog deaths triggers TOXIC ALERT: UK...
There is one little trotter left from a cuddly pig that Misty had. Despite the fact that she has a toy box full of toys, this is now her new favourite.
It’s so so soggy and slimy! :D
Misty is a dog that is obsessed with playing ball. She loves tennis balls, and whilst they are great for out in a field with the ball slinger, I do find she ruins them very quickly as she squeezes them in her mouth and then they split and end up in the bin.
I bought her the medium size Erratic...
Whilst walking to work in the early hours this morning, I passed a lady who I see regularly at this time of day walking her young GSD. This was the first time however that our paths crossed where there’s a line of cars parked on the pavement. She held back and let me through, all the time...
Poor Misty has knocked her ball into this huge lake and now she can’t get it back!:D
She’s quite happy to drink from this makeshift birdbath, but she won’t get her ball out. Instead she’s sulking and giving me the ‘please help me Mummy’ eyes
Misty wanted to join in at playing Trivial Pursuit today. To be honest though she was more interested in stealing the dice and playing pieces  Nothing’s ever easy with a nosy dog about :D:D
Any advice on teaching Misty to walk down the stairs?
She has no problem galloping up them, but she point blank refuses to climb back down. She sits at the top looking down, and as much as I encourage her, she won’t do it. I sit a couple of steps down from her so that she can do one at a time...
I’ve had an idea for another A to Z game.
This time it’s things/people you wouldn’t mind being stuck in a lift with for whatever reason.....entertainment, usefulness, eye candy (;)) etc.
I’ll start with A:
Arnold Schwarzenegger (he could be useful in prising the doors open :D)
If you could read your dog’s mind, what do you think their most common thought would be?
For Misty it would have to be “throw the ball, throw the ball, THROW THE BALL!!” :D:D
Random things my dog always barks at:
A snowman.
Any moving Christmas decorations.
The back gate first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Plastic garden chair that got moved by the wind.
Anything new.
We seem to have run out of ideas in some of the other word association games, so thought I’d start another one.
This game is bands or artists starting with the last letter of the previous post.
I’ll start with:
George Michael
So the next person needs one beginning with L......
I read this article this morning and it is so sad. There is a link right at the end of it to sign the online petition.
Lucy's Law campaign urges MPs to end vile trade of puppy farmers
After talking about how long to leave a dog alone, it made me think how lucky I’ve been with Misty. You hear some awful horror stories about people coming home to wrecked houses!
The most damage Misty has done is to my flip flops and slippers; she’s not bothered by anyone else’s! If I forget to...
I thought I would start a new thread as this is a topic that seems to come up a lot.
Misty is left between 3 and 4 hours on her own, 5 mornings a week. She has the whole of the downstairs to roam about, but every time I check on her via the camera she is fast asleep (usually on her back with...
