Hello, Thanks for the reply. The Harriers sight was full of information for me. It inspired me to have ago on my own, with the dogs running off lead. It'ill be a bit before I can keep up with the dog!
I'd love to try this. My Lurcher could do it no problem but as I would be entering in the 60+ F, I would need to train up even for a 5K. Does anyone know where I could train . I'm in the Bolton/ Horwich area of Lanashire.

Yes thanks. That's it. He just doesn't seam to feel things when he is running and he would just plough through. The ear tips just came open a little today but nothing like yesterday and it's not slowed him down. He does enjoy life. It's me that does the worrying :sweating:
Yesreday, my Lurcher came back to me with cuts on the inside of both ears! What could he have done to cut both lobes on the inside? Has anyone had this happen to them?I had read on the forum how cuts to the ear lobes bleed. They were right. Back at the van I folded the ears back onto his head...

Sophia, my suluky X has just had a lump removed from the under side of her chest, but the operation site has filled up with fluid to more than twice the size. I understand that these lumps common, as the dog often catches its underside while running. The vet says it may take 6weeks plus for...
